Given:

Wisconsin is currently a likely #4 seed.
Wisconsin, despite their horrendous late-season slide, is #7 in the KRACH.
Colgate, Dartmouth, or Vermont is likely to be the other "Big 4" #4 seed.
Should we end up the #3 or #4 seed, our counterpart seed will likely be Minnesota or DU.

Result:

We get screwed.

How can this be avoided? Mercyhurst wins the AHA title, giving Wisconsin two more wins vs. TUCs, moving them from a #4 seed to a #3 seed.

Conclusion:

Go Lakers! help

But wouldn't we want our future conference mate Quinnipiac to win their conference and go to the tournament?

Even at this hour...6:40 eastern, Cornell can still end up as high as #2 overall in the pairwise, thus drawing the CHA autobid, Bemidiji State.
