Believe it or not there are some significant games for Cornell staying east being played tonight.

Most important is Mich State. Even winning just tonight, MS provides Cornell more eastern alternatives under many scenarios.

If Northern MI also wins tonight that helps even more because MS then plays MI instead of OSU (more RPI for Cornell).

If MS can win two games then there are still more options for Cornell staying east.

NoDak beating WI seems to provide a slight advantage to Cornell, but it's relatively minor.

In all cases above, the Cornell options (if they lose the final) are significantly better if Maine beats BC and Cornell loses to Colgate rather than Harvard.

NMU losing is bad for Harvard's RPI, which is nice too. B-]

On the other hand, a UAF win would make them a TUC, thus adding 2-0 to the TUC records of Michigan and Ohio State, and also giving Michigan a supposedly easier game tomorrow. Mich. State, on the other hand, would get killed by adding 0-2 to their TUC record, so they pretty much would have to win their tournament to get into the NCAAs.

Wisconsin pulls the goalie, with a little more than a minute left, still down a goal.

Wow. Can't believe Wisconsin isn't gonna make it. A couple months ago, I thought they were a primary contender for the National Championship. Then again, a team that can't beat Yale shouldn't be in the NCAA Tournament! They really finished badly though.

Don't write Wisconsin off yet - at least not until tomorrow night. They still make the NCAAs under a lot of scenarios.
