McMonagle makes save on Army's big gun, Walker, and Cornell clears ... then soph Clayton scores from Boulukos. Joe's second assist?! CU loses ANOTHER faceoff.

Walker scores on the extra-man opportunity. It's 2-2. Cornell finally gets FO thanks to an illegal procedure call.

Boulukos scores on a bounce shot that "overpowers" (as per Borkan) the USMA goalie. 3-2 Cornell. Cornell wins possession off FO.

And boom, Nee scores on a crank for a two-goal lead. Army calls timout.

FOs looking mighty ugly. Army wins possession after CU wing man forced OB.

Army second-line midfielder scores when matched up with short stick, 4-3 CU.

Well, this is lacrosse, so as long as Army doesn't end up being a "quality" program the loss won't hurt us.

No, Barry Leonard (play by play) and Howie Borkan (color) are the top lax team -- Weinstein's gig last week was the anomaly. Leonard is great. He has been the voice of Cornell lax since the 1990s ... and a voice of Cornell hoops and other sports for more than a decade.

I didn't listen long enough to figure out who had John Walker (the son of former NY Jet wideout Wesley Walker). With Walker and Jim Wagner (four goals against CU), that's a tough group to handle. Cornell's going to have a rough time with any team that brings two good, versatile attackmen.

Cornell hasn't had a reliable FO guy since Addison Sollog graduated. Groan.
