Cornell shut RPI down to just 4 shots in the third. Solid. Can I say for the thousandth time that Mike Schafer is my personal savior?

I cleaned out my PayPal balance from eBay sales but I believe if you maintain a positive balance that's another option for paying in addition to credit card.

This is like the third time this season I've gotten home at 6:40 or 6:45 and figured, I'm a smart guy, I can get this webcast up and running and get the SVideo output jack linked over the big TV before the faceoff ... and got to see about the last of the first period. Sheesh. Paying is just more hassle because the XMI and PayPal screens look the same but the passwords are different.

The world would be better if Microsoft Passport controlled everything - one logon uber alles. Especially since we have no privacy anyhow. (Anyone remember Cornell's experiment in using your SS ID as your student ID as a "convenience" to you?)

Red moves into 4th place tie with Minnie in PWR for now (9:42 ET).

Wolverines get a reversal on Cornell, even while their game is still in progress, slip into 4th place tie with Minnesota in PWR. Looks likely to stay that way: score UM 6 ND2 with 13 to go in 3rd. Geez, this stuff is volatile.

To be honest, it was one of the worst games I've ever seen at Lynah. Crowd wasn't good and the teams weren't really into it. RPI simply does not seem to try as hard as they can. Like Princeton and Yale it seems almost unnecessary to even play RPI. Just disappointing to see a team dog it like they did. Obviously happy with the win. They have now gone six straight game without allowing an even strength goal. RPI barely got a chance to score. The iced the puck around 20 times.
3 Stars:
1. Hynes
2. Abbott
3. Iggulden

I really liked how Hynes went after the guy that gave Moulson the sort of cheap hit. ALSO of note is that Cornell didn't kill a penalty the entire game. That is pretty much unheard of at any level.

I second that, the crowd was not into it. Hynes played awsome, Mckee made the saves when they shot at him, and the boys played very disciplined against argueably the second dirtiest team I have seen all year. (Clarkson being first).

You have to give Credit to Daniel Pegoraro to, he did most of the work on the second Hynes goal, not taking away from Hynes, but I really thought Daniel made an awsome play. I was standing with Pegs' and Hynes' fathers, they went crazy when Hynes scored the second goal. I would too if I had traveled that far.

it was a great game for Cornell, happy with the win

I don't know what was up with the crowd. I did my best to do my part (even if my part really amounts to mocking Andrew Martin). People seemed to like my, um, 'comments' about his gameplay (and his mother). Even though I think I cracked some better jokes on other nights, I got compliments from three people and a standing ovation or two as well. (Well, okay, everyone's already standing, but still...) Maybe they were quiet enough and I was just loud enough.

The WRPI mics must've been in a fortuitious position, because on their audio it sounded like Lynah was rocking, especially A and B in the first and third.

Absolutely important point, Ari! Cornell not getting (other than matching) a penalty, that was incredible control.

Would that we could do that up at Clarkson in the final RS game. I am really worried about Clarkson going headhunting, our retaliating, and a player get DQ'd for the next game, too. True, that would be served in the ECAC best-of-three series at Lynah, but still it would be hanging over the player's head for two weeks.
