D'Alba for real?

I was just looking at the stats for Brown. Since D'Alba took over in net, it looks like they're 6-0-1. The kid has a 1.39 GAA and a .956 SV%. Not too shabby.
Has anyone seen him play and can offer some insight as to how good he really is? With Rowan apparently having found Martin and gone back to Laugh In, we may be hard-pressed to repeat anything on the scale of the 7-2 pasting we gave them in Lynah.
CU in Providence tomorrow night.
LGR!!!

I would love to see D'Alba in action, but I'll only be able to make it to the Harvard game this weekend.
I did a quick search on google for him and found that he played for Chicago Steel. Hopefully Topher will know how to score against his former teammate.

I suppose you have to accept he's for real until someone shows he isn't.

Brown's defense as a whole must have improved a lot, because Ken Dryden wouldn't have been able to win with the team we saw in Ithaca.
Huge weekend for Cornell. If they can come up with 2 points they're looking pretty solid. 3+ and they're *really* in good shape (and have the inside track on another Ivy banner for good measure).

Hopefully, a few more games, at the very least.
BTW, in the only game in which he gave up 3, 2 were PPGs. Let's hope the boys can light him up a bit more this weekend. Christmas isn't that far behind us. I could do with seeing a few more flashing red lights.

Done
He was okay, but didn't look like anything special.

Agree. UMD can't shoot straight, I guess. No Danis.

After the Friday results, D'Alba, McKee and Kaltiainen (the BC goalie who beat us in FL) are tied for first in the NCAA at 1.72. D'Alba's .945 sv% is still the best by a large margin (McKee, at .922, is 11th).

D'Alba is pretty good but not great. To be fair, the goals by Varteressian and Moulson were great shots that most goalies probably wouldn't have come up with.
