I will never again whine about the newly evolved "bend over" chant.

The second goal against Sacred Heart seemed to come as a result of the sieve refusing to get into position in time, and he allowed a weak shot through.

The Lynah Faithful also seemed to get in the head of the Army sieve right from the start, leading to 3 quick goals.

The new cheer may be less creative, but it is certainly as effective.

What is the new "bend over" chant? What does it consist of?

The "proper" way to execute the remote control sieve chanting is to rattle of what the sieve is doing at that moment (skate turn skate glide tap sweep etc.), but the current student section instead just yells skate skate skate turn skate skate skate BEND OVER without really paying attention to what the sieve is actually doing. And when he doesn't bend over, they say it over and over again until he does. It's irritating to listen to, but excellent when he stays out of position to try and spite the fans.

Nah, at least as of last year they still said what he did, but most of them just skate and turn til they stop. You have the occasional goalie who taps the poles or takes a drink from his water bottle and the students yell "Tap!" or "Chug!" (mind you I'm going off of last year but I doubt it can be that much different w/ only 3 games played). I personally like the extended bend over cheer, mostly it's over by 3 or 4 "bend over"s, but occasionally you get one that goes on for like 3 minutes like last year, and everyone chanting that in unison for that long really has the potential to get in the goalies' head.

And we didn't get ostracized for slurring the priesthood?

I couldn't get "Forgive me father for I am a sieve!" out properly because I was interrupted by a "your mom called". As I recall, it ended with a stupid "your boyfriend called". rolleyes

English majors would say "Forgive me Father for I have sieved" would even better cadence, but in the noise of Lynah, "sieved" and "sinned" would be too close.
