I missed most of the pregame. Does anyone know who is doing the pregame...it doesn't sound like Adam W...where is Adam W? Of course, maybe it's just some kid from Syracuse doing the pregame for i2...

i2sports is worth it just to be able to listen to the comments during radio commercial breaks!

1st period
Moulson 14 (Hynes 6, Bitz 11)
Vesce 8 (Knoepfli 11)

2nd period
9:54 Hynes 8 (Cam Abbott 7, Bitz 12)
Hynes 9 (Moulson 14, Bitz 13)

3rd Period
Samela 1 (Gleed 3, Iggy 3)
Moulson 15 (Hynes 7, Bitz 14)

Shots 26-11 in favor of Cornell

aaaaargh. Princeton isn't broadcasting the hockey game, only bball - and I am stuck at work. (No i2 here.) For as long as I listen, I'll listen to the basketball game and post.

forechecking is doing a great job! Some heavy shoving took place after the ref called a penalty on Princeton...

two Tigers are now going to the Box...

We look huge compared to them, as usual

For those of us (like me) without a photographic memory, that is:

Abbott-Abbott-Hornby
Knoepfli-Iggulden-Carefoot
Moulson-Bitz-Hynes
Varteressian-Vesce-McCutcheon
Wallace-Cook
Downs-O'Byrne
Gleed

I apologize for the typo. 29 (Bitz) centers the Moulson-Hynes line.

I didn't list Salmela on a defense pair with Gleed because Evan has spent the beginning of this game on the pine.

Cornell keeps the puck in the zone for a long while...Penalty on Tigers...Vesce goes down the slot and tries top corner again...no good

Cornell goes on the PP

more shoving after the whistle but the refs are quick to separate the players...couldn't tell who it was though

Penalty on Cornell, hitting from behind, is "questionable" according to Ed. Varteressian (ugh) is the goon

Folks ... Ed filled in for me once before ... He is formerly Princeton's guy ... Princeton doesn't broadcast their games anymore, so that's why you won't find a feed from them. He also used to broadcast Princeton men's basketball - thus his reference to that. ... I'll have to make sure to remind him again about the talking between breaks.

A little while after Cornell killed off the second Varteressian penalty, the Moulson-Bitz-Hynes line had a great shift. That has been followed by the Varteressian-Vesce-McCutcheon line putting on great pressure in the Princeton zone.

Well, McKee's other stats (SV%, GAA) are slightly worse than if he hadn't let the goal in, but otherwise, McKee did all he could.

Game was awesome! Team played hard and hustled. A bit better puck movement by PP units. Evan S. looked good making mostly good decisions and threw one really nice old fashioned hip check later in game.

I was worried by Ryan O. and Paul V. taking some unneeded penalties... As well as Greg H. getting called for elbowing right at beginning of third period. Ref seemed to call a fair and good game !!! :-)

Mckee looked good and the princeton goal was scored by good play and missed defense and quick pass to the open man.

Shane H. and Moulson and Bitz had a great game! John Gleed is looking more confident as season progresses - a big plus.

Only worry I saw was again we don't seem to be winning as many faceoffs as I'd like ... Ryan V. is obviously our best and after him there is a dropoff in the success rate.

Lets rock Lynah tonight - Go Big Red!

P.S. best wishes for speedy recovery to Dan G.

It's about time I posted my thoughts on the game. (I was working last night so I wasn't able to do so then.)

- It was nice to see Cornell thoroughly dominate a team at home. It's too bad that we can only do it over the bottom of the barrel of the conference (Vermont and Princeton).
- I love Vesce and hope he continues to get better, but I'm really starting to like the Moulson-Bitz-Hynes line. They were responsible for more than half of our goals in the game, after all. I think these three are working well together and I hope they can lead us to a rejuvenated offense in the postseason.
- Congrats to Salmela on his first collegiate goal!
- Varteressian took two stupid penalties that just didn't help things. What's worse is that he two in a row. Luckily Princeton's mostly powerless play couldn't capitalize on the opportunity. Still, if this happened against any other team, I'd be pissed as all hell.
- Now that we've bitchslapped Princeton, let's give Yale the same, or worse. LET'S GO RED!!!
