Fastest skater: Hornby. 2nd was McLeod. Last year was Cam Abbott he was in the running.
Hardest shot at 95.2 MPH was Ben Wallace, Knoepfli was second at 91.4. Murray last year was 96.4.

Accuracy they didn't really keep track very well, but I think Vesce won.

In survivor Moulson won. Chabot was in net and only let three or four players advance past the first round. He looked good.

One of the Abbott's, think it was Cam, pulled one of those awesome looking pick the puck up on the tape of your stick and hurl it side arm, lacrosse style at about waist level into the net. The most stylish move of the night by far.

There was a good number of people at the event. I think last year had a bit better turnout and the skills competitions seemed more exciting last year too. It was still fun. Todd Marr was the M.C..

I showed up a bit late (in the middle of the slapshot competition), but from what I could tell (and remember), Wallace had the fastest slapshot, Vesce won the shooting accuracy contest, and Moulson won the shootout. For what it's worth, Chabot was the only goalie dressed - Marr was on the ice in sweats to sign things for the fans, but I didn't see McKee around. I also didn't remember seeing Varteressian, Gleed, Pegoraro, Pajerski, or Stachurski.

I thought that Chabot looked much better today than he did when I saw him at the Red/White game. After everyone had taken one shot, only Moulson, Chris Abbott, and Wallace had scored. He shut all three of them out in the next round (only the scorers advance). He stopped Wallace in the next round, and then Abbott in the final round, leaving Moulson as the winner.

Chris Abbott's first goal during the shootout was very similar to one I had seen a clip of last year. I don't have much time to find the clip now, but Abbott turned his back on the goal and it looked like he got the puck on the blade of his stick, before shovelling it through the air past Chabot.

nope none of those guys were there. according to Cook, McKee's at home because they "didn't want him infecting all you guys." and the other 5 weren't there because i-dont-know-why.

Chabot looked pretty good in net today, stopping 20 out of the 26 breakaway shots. Had some nice looking saves; 1 kick save and a couple glove saves come to mind right away. And 3 of the 6 he let in were Moulson's, 2 were Chris Abbott (whose shot in the first round was RIDICULOUS...he actually tried the same move last year...), and 1 was Hornby. It was a pretty fun little event; I left after the skills competition, which lasted about 20-25 minutes.

Those 5 were indeed not there. And that reminds me...what's the deal with Stachurski? I'm not sure I've even seen him at the games (of course, I could be completely wrong about him not being at the games). Is he still on the team?

Stachurski's at the games...he hangs on the rail with McLeod at top of section F...usually see them being chatted up by some of the more nubile Faithful...

I hope the word that McKee is "home" means 'back at the dorm", not "went back to Texas"...

Our players were so skilled, against each other, that we moved up to #12 on INCH :-)
