Definitely a virtuous cycle: more people --> better atmosphere --> more fun --> more repeat business. It's great the men are idle Saturday -- maybe they'll do even better.MattS
It was great to see a good crowd there.

Anyone know how Campbell is doing? Looked like she injured her shoulder while on the PK in the second, and didn't return to the game. Hopefully, she'll be on the ice again soon.

free tickets also make boosting attendance easier
Speaking of which, apparently Saturday's game is free for all students and anyone with men's hockey season tickets.

Excellent game by the women. They dominated play almost the whole game. Could easily have been a wider margin except for some decent D and good goaltending by Dartmouth.

NCAA Tourney Bracket:
Minnesota-Duluth @ (1) Wisconsin
Minnesota @ (4) Boston College
Dartmouth @ (2) Cornell
Mercyhurst @ (3) Boston University
I am completely shocked by the committee's decision. Ugh.

Pretty sure it's just based on proximity. The committee switched MD and Dartmouth from the pairwise rankings, and that seems to be it. Easier financially for both programs if the teams don't have to drive or fly 30 halfway across the country.
I'm shocked that Mercyhurst ended up unranked though...

Any word on TV/internet video coverage? Since this is an NC$$ event, I assume they control the broadcasting rights.
Edit: I sent an email to athletics, and they are still waiting to hear from the NC$$ as to whether or not they can broadcast the game on RedCast. They hope to have an answer today.

Do you know if she is a 2011-12 or a 2012-13 commitment? Per her team's web site, she's graduating in 2012, but i wouldn't be shocked if that is a typo as she was a junior last season at SSM.
