It was great to see a good crowd there.

Definitely a virtuous cycle: more people --> better atmosphere --> more fun --> more repeat business. It's great the men are idle Saturday -- maybe they'll do even better.

Anyone know how Campbell is doing? Looked like she injured her shoulder while on the PK in the second, and didn't return to the game. Hopefully, she'll be on the ice again soon.

Strong game from beginning to end, particularly on those early kills. Great win, and a deserved championship.

Excellent game by the women. They dominated play almost the whole game. Could easily have been a wider margin except for some decent D and good goaltending by Dartmouth.

I am completely shocked by the committee's decision. Ugh.

Pretty sure it's just based on proximity. The committee switched MD and Dartmouth from the pairwise rankings, and that seems to be it. Easier financially for both programs if the teams don't have to drive or fly 30 halfway across the country.

I'm shocked that Mercyhurst ended up unranked though...

Edit: I sent an email to athletics, and they are still waiting to hear from the NC$$ as to whether or not they can broadcast the game on RedCast. They hope to have an answer today.

Hockey Canada announced the women's national selection camp roster today. Four Cornellians--Fortino, Rougeau, Jenner, and Johnston--were among the 37 chosen to compete for 21 roster slots.

It looks like Cornell has a commitment from Jess Brown a forward who played at Shattuck St. Mary's and now is playing for Pittsburgh Elite U19 alongside Katelyn Pippy: [mwehl.stats.pointstreak.com] She currently leads the team in goals and points.

Do you know if she is a 2011-12 or a 2012-13 commitment? Per her team's web site, she's graduating in 2012, but i wouldn't be shocked if that is a typo as she was a junior last season at SSM.
