Is there anyone at all who is driving to Dartmouth and/or Vermont this weekend from Boston who has room for a sweet girl in his or her car who promises good conversation and some gas money? nut

Hey Erica, apparently you'll never live that down. Use another computer. Go over to an MIT computer lab or something. :-))

a) have you seen MIT girls?

[xi.tep.org] uhoh (Sorry adam - I couldn't help it...)

b) mgh.harvard.edu is Mass General Hospital. I doubt she wants to be associated with Harvard any more than the rest of us.

"At Vassar, Smith, and Wellesly there are countless untruths told
about how women engineers are frigid strange and cold.
But truth be told, men prefer lady engineers of course
and sleep with girls who study motion, friction, stress, and force."

MIT girls: Fast women with fast computers.

As my friend the MIT alum once told me:

At MIT, the odds are good, but the goods are odd.

you know, you guys are funny. After living and breathing life in a Harvard-affiliated teaching hospital, I have absolutely no respect for a Harvard undergraduate education, and my boss agrees. I mean, after that grade inflation story, geez.... And I have even less respect for Harvard hockey, as do all of you. However, I still have the utmost respect for the graduate programs, including the Medical school. So attach my job to Harvard all you like, but be it known that I work at one of the best hospitals in the country in one of the best medical cities in the world. That being said, I make absolutely no money at this damn hospital, and thus am poor and can't afford a car, so as long as no one continues to offer me a ride, I still, after all of this, will not be at Dartmouth.

VT is the state of Vermont. Va is the state of Virginia.

VT is Virginia Tech. UVM is short for Universitas Viridis Montis, which means University of the Green Mountains, although the official name is still University of Vermont. UVa is the University of Virginia.

Will you people stop being self-referentially clever for five minutes and offer the pretty girl a ride already?!

Sheesh... rolleyes

Erica,

I'm driving up to Vermont on Saturday. If you want a ride, e-mail me.

And yes, I am affiliated with the school that everyone here loves to hate. So sue me. I can definitely vouch for grade inflation at the Law School, the Kennedy School, and the Design School. I'll find out about undergrad this semester.

Damn - that was harsh.

I however say that engineers mating must make for interest pickup lines and pillow talk.

"Hey baby, I topped the 2.81s exam. Wanna get it on?"

(Pssss- the joke is funnier if you read the 2.81s course title)

As this forum's expert on MIT girls (and knowing how beautiful, fun, wild, and amazing so many of them are) I feel best qualified to make these jokes. ; )

P.S. If John stops encouraging me, I'll stop rambling on about an institution most of you don't care about. After all, Cornell has a 2-2-0 record against MIT, and the two teams haven't met since '59. :)

Erica,

I can offer a ride up to Dartmouth. Anne and I are meeting RedAR about 3:30pm tomorrow (Friday). Drop me an email (cnr5@cornell.edu) and we can set something up.

LGR!!!

I found that to be a disturbing piece of info., so I peeked into my ratty old media guide. I have the Cornell-MIT series as a slightly-more-palatable 3-2-1, with the last loss (3-5) coming during the infamous '40 season. (The series concluded with a win and a tie in '59 (when we were hurtin' for people to beat)).

And that's WAY more than what anyone needs to know about MIT hockey...

Sorry... I was just skimming through the scores of all cornell games ever (not able to find the summary of our total records against every team we've ever played.)

I should have known better than to post hockey info I wasn't 100% sure of on this board...

There I go, making MIT alums look bad again... :)
