I'm not at all happy about this posting, considering what your countdown did to Nieuwendyk.

Don't worry, Bâby is a train that can't be stopped. Next stop 100 points. Final destination - NCAA championship and Hobey Baker.

No worries, Bâby has this one in the bag. Like I have said in earlier posts, this kid is going to turn it on in the 2nd half of the season. I wouldn't be surprised if he breaks it this weekend. Mark my words, he is going out of his senior season with a bang. No way he is letting up now.

Sorry I do not know Davy Francis momma. The only thing I know is that Bâby is a lock for the Hobey. Mark me words!

Well then either you're a very confident fan or an awesome computer hacker (Hobey voting online). At a school like Cornell one can never be quite sure which one...

well Jim, it means exactly what it says. I guess I would need to speak in old folk terms for you.
"Nothing to worry about, he will definitely get to the milestone"
Best,

If you check Bâby's history this guy is more of a workhorse than Cal Ripken. He rarely misses a game except when he's been unjustifiably suspended. This includes his career in the far more physical USHL. He's played with stitches, broken legs, broken arms, brain damage - you name it. Nothing is gonna get in his way....not even a TB#2 Burrito.

On February 12th, 2000 Bâby was derailed by the infamous "North Country Pizza Incident."

That's classic Mo! No one said Bâby was the smartest fish in the bowl but he sure does have leadership, a very physical attitude, great determination, and one of the best hockey senses on the team. Contrary to popular opinion, hockey players actually can read.

Hey Age, great job on eLynah - but this is a thread for praising Cornell players - so please don't bring your Murray bashing attitude over here.

There's a not-so-fine line between praise and gratuitous-smoke-blowing-up-ass-to-no-one-listening-and-no-one-caring-ing.

I think the 20+ posts on this thread prove that there are some people-listening-and-caring-ing.
Like I said Age, if you don't care or are gonna bash - take it to another thread.

Hey Adam - although Bâby may have eaten at the Pizza Hut that February he still played in the game against St. Lawrence. Please!!! Do you think a bit of a stomach flu would slow him down? Michael Jordan maybe - not Bâby.
And that Ogie is the TRUTH!

What I was referring to was the "In the bag". Nothing is true till it happens, and we don't like to upset the hockey gods.

Ogletorp,
Several Cornell players got sick after eating at the Canton (or Potsdam) Pizza Hut. They couldn't play the next night against SLU and the undermanned Red lost, 3-1.

I think it was the Potsdam Pizza Hut. And the game was surprisingly close, given how many players were sick.

The game was suprisingly close because Bâby who did eat at the Pizza Hut sucked it up and played in that game in true Cal Ripken style*. Rumor has it he was hurling on the bench between shifts but continued to play.

*And by the way just like Bâby - Joe is continuing to play.....
Joe Nieuwendyk had a small piece of plastic inserted inside the right ear hole of his helmet to protect his ear, which was struck by a Jamie Langenbrunner clearing attempt in Saturday's game. Nieuwendyk needed 30 stitches to close the cut. He said he was bothered by a slight headache Sunday, but felt fine Monday other than some pressure in his ear from the cut. The puck nearly severed off the bottom of his earlobe".

Looks like he's one point away from havin this one "in the bag."
He has been on fire the last 2 weekends. It will be nice to see him get the 100th at Lynah this coming weekend. I assume they'll stop play and spend 30 minutes or so honoring this Cornell great!!!

Stop play for 100 points? God, I hope not.
When he gets close to Nethery's 271, or at least Tredway's 207, then maybe we can talk about stopping play.
BTW - Bâby's not the only player who has a chance at reaching the 100 point plateau this season. I'll try to avoid offending the woofing gods by not mentioning names...

There seems to be a certain junior from Llyod Harbor who is positioned to absolutely crush the 100 career points mark.
