So there goes Wisconsin's chance for a nice 2nd half run.

Nice to hear the alma mater over the webcast. :-)

Already said he was calling it too close both ways, my critique wasn't so much for the # of straight penalties but due to calling one not even 1/2 a second after having killed one.

and this is a problem because ... why? if it's a penalty, it's a penalty

North Dakota and Dartmouth tied at 1 in the 3rd.
Clarkson over Wisconsin 3-1 in the 2nd!

Don't know whether it falls on Murphy or the league, but this number of penalties (fourteen minors in forty minutes) really makes a mockery of the game.

No need to get into an argument. The call seemed to come out of nowhere, even the UNH announcers did not know what was going on. Happy holidays.

Here's an article about how the ECACHL officiating has been whack compared to the rest of the leagues.

Some very had work pays off. Cornell intercepted and held the puck in the UNH zone three times before Greening got the goal.

Similar in that respect to the earlier Carefoot goal.

And nice that two guys haven't had to take 80% of the faceoffs. Especially nice given those "two guys" graduated last May.

who creates the stats for gametracker?? just wondering how shots on the main page are 26-18 in favor of Cornell, yet the power play stats show UNH with 26 shots on the power play? perhaps one is shots and one is shots on goal? in any case it seems we shut UNH down pretty good on non PP situations.

You're right. Shots on PP refers to total shots.

Definitely need to have Troy in there somewhere. I'd put him at #1. The two goals really shouldn't have been allowed to happen at all. The first one came after a bad icing non-call, and the second one came after a terrible "instigating" call against Cornell.

The second one was also in off Taylor Davenport's skate, so there's not much Troy could have done about it.
